Triton Commuter Club
The Triton Commuter Club recognizes and rewards your actions to reduce the traffic, parking and environmental impacts of driving alone. Whether you’re coming to campus daily, learning and working from home, choosing lower-impact modes every day or mixing up your commute, you can reduce your impact and earn rewards.
The Triton Commuter Club Portal is built on the RideAmigos platform and provides trip-planning, ride-matching and trip logging to earn prizes and incentives. Club participants must actively log their trips by the last day of each month to qualify for incentives.
We are pausing the accumulation of points on the Triton Commuter Club portal while we address a technical issue that resulted in duplicate accounts. We anticipate the program being back online later this quarter. Thank you for your patience. While low-impact commuting is its own reward, we look forward to bringing earnable rewards back to Triton Commuter Club in the near future.
Emergency Ride Home
Stuff happens. When it does, we’ve got your back.
We appreciate our fellow Tritons who leave their cars at home and eliminate the traffic, parking and environmental impacts of driving alone.
If you took a lower-impact mode to campus from your off-campus residence and you’re unable to travel home in the same way due to an emergency, you may qualify for an Emergency Ride Home (ERH) at no cost or a significantly reduced cost. Learn more

Helmet Access Program
Transportation Services and Associated Students (AS) have teamed up to provide all current UC San Diego faculty, staff and students access to some of the safest helmet tech on the market.
What is MIPS technology? MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System, which is a leading slip-plane technology inside the helmet designed to reduce rotational forces that can result from certain impacts. You’re investing a lot in that brain of yours and a MIPS helmet is a great way to protect it.
All current UC San Diego faculty, staff and students are eligible to purchase a $10 Giro Isode MIPS or Quarter MIPS helmet from Campus Bike & Skate shop. That’s roughly 80% off! We want ALL Tritons to have access to a quality helmet so if the $10 would present a financial hardship, we can provide you with a MIPS helmet for free.
Active students, faculty and staff are eligible to claim one Helmet Access Program e-voucher through their Triton Commuter Club Account.
