Department Parking Paid Through Recharge
Departments may purchase parking permits for their visitors and guests to use. Annual reserved, 1 Day and 1 Night permits may only be purchased using a department index number.
Note: University or state funds may not be used to purchase staff parking permits. University policy prohibits faculty and staff use of a university-funded permit.
Annual Reserved
Cost: $2,088/year
Who's Eligible?
- Official guests of any department
- Patients/Visitors—medical centers only
- On-call physicians—medical centers only
Restrictions:
- Valid in the numbered space that matches the number on the permit.
- Only authorized university guests may park in a reserved department parking space—no permit required.
- The department controls access to its reserved parking space and requests enforcement as necessary.
- University policy prohibits employee use of a university-funded reserved department spaces.
To obtain approval:
- Campus: Contact a parking supervisor with your reserved space request for approval by the Vice Chancellor – Business Affairs.
- Medical centers: Contact the parking supervisor with your reserved space request for approval by the department chair, director or dean.
1 Day
A properly dated 1 Day permit provides parking for up to 24 hours in the following spaces:
- S: 24 hours
- B: 24 hours
- A: 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- Not valid where posted "A permit required 24 hours a day/7 days a week."
- V: 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- Meters (with no fee): 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.

1 Night
A properly dated 1 Night permit lets you park for one evening in the following spaces:
- S: 3 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- B: 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- A: 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- Not valid where posted “A permit required 24 hours a day/7 days a week.”
- V: 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- Meters (with no fee): 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
