Lease a UC San Diego Vehicle
UC San Diego campus and Health System departments can lease vehicles.
Vehicle leases require:
- Completing the Department Vehicle Request.
- All drivers must be affiliated with UC San Diego and hold a valid state driver's license.
- That the vehicle will be used for official university businessonly and may not be taken off road or across international borders.
- Existing fleet vehicles be leased for 12 months minimum and newly procured vehicles to be leased for 24 months minimum.
- Recharge of monthly lease rate to a department budget number
Leases include:
- UC insurance
- All scheduled maintenance and a complementary loaner vehicle upon request
- Parking on campus
Leases do not include:
- Fuel expenses
- Costs associated with reserved parking
- Repair costs that result from abuse or excessive wear and tear
- Any upfit/equipment additions to the vehicle
