Lease a UC San Diego Vehicle

UC San Diego campus and Health System departments can lease vehicles.

Vehicle leases require:

• Completing the Department Vehicle Request.
• All drivers must be affiliated with UC San Diego and hold a valid state driver's license.
• That the vehicle will be used for official university businessonly and may not be taken off road or across international borders.
• Existing fleet vehicles be leased for 12 months minimum and newly procured vehicles to be leased for 24 months minimum.
• Recharge of monthly lease rate to a department budget number

Leases include:

• UC insurance
• All scheduled maintenance and a complementary loaner vehicle upon request
• Parking on campus

Leases do not include:

• Fuel expenses
• Costs associated with reserved parking
• Repair costs that result from abuse or excessive wear and tear
• Any upfit/equipment additions to the vehicle
