Winter Break and Campus Curtailment Information for December 24, 2025, to January 1, 2026

Fleet Services

These functions will be closed during the campus closure:

Vehicle repairs and maintenance
  • Vehicles that need repair can be driven/towed to the Fleet Services yard ready for campus opening. Please email jeiler@ucsd.edu with vehicle details.
  • For vehicle incidents during the closure, follow directions on the incident report in your vehicle glovebox.

Rental Services

  • Rental vehicles needed during winter break should be picked up before the campus closure. Please email fleet@ucsd.edu to coordinate early pick up.
  • Rental vehicles can be dropped off at Fleet Services 24/7 using the key return drop box.

These functions will remain open 24/7 during the campus closure:

  • CSC fuel island (gasoline and diesel)
  • CNG station (compressed natural gas)
  • Enterprise CarShare

To report an issue with any of these services during campus closure, please contact the numbers posted on the fuel station pumps or Enterprise CarShare member services line.

Parking and Commuter Services

The Virtual Parking Office will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 and will reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2026.

Staff will be available to respond to customer inquiries and to return calls and emails between 7 a.m. and noon on December 26, 29 and 30, 2025.

Permit display is not required on UC San Diego holidays or on the days those holidays are observed (December 24, 25, 31, 2025 and January 1, 2026). Regulations related to safety and access, including disability parking, fire lanes, loading zones and reserved parking, remain in effect at all times.

Paid parking enforcement will continue on December 22, 23 and December 26–30, 2025 to ensure access for patients, visitors and individuals requiring accessible parking. A, B, S and D permits will be interchangeable during this period. D permits are available for $5.25 per day via ParkMobile zone 4762.

Triton Transit

Triton Transit will be running a reduced schedule beginning Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025 through Sunday, Dec 21, 2025. Only Triton On-Demand will be available Dec. 22 and 23, 2025 and January 2, 2026. Triton Transit will be closed (no services available) from Wednesday, Dec. 24 through Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026. Regular service will resume on Jan. 3, 2026.

Weekday Service Dec. 15–19, 2025:

Mobility (ADA) and On-Demand Service:

  • Mobility (ADA) service will be available weekdays from 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m. on the Triton Mobility app and by calling (858) 534-7422 to request pick-ups.
  • On-Demand service will be available from 7:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on the Triton Mobility app and by calling (858) 534-7422 to request pick-ups.

Weekend Service, Dec. 14–15 and 20–21, 2025 only:

Reduced Service, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., 30-minute frequency:
