Bluetooth Tracker Pilot Program
To help deter micromobility device theft and support recovery efforts, Transportation Services is offering the Tile Bluetooth Tracker at a 60% discount—available for $10 to the first 1,000 customers.
We strongly encourage all micromobility device users to attach a Bluetooth tracking device, such as the Tile Tracker or Apple AirTag, to a discreet and secure area of their bike or scooter. This can help minimize the risk of the tracker being discovered and removed.
With the Tile or Life360 app, users can monitor their device’s location in real time.
How to Purchase
- Login to the parking portal to purchase your ($10) Bluetooth Tile Voucher '26.
- Pick up in person. Bring your voucher receipt and your UC San Diego ID)
- Where: Parking and Commuter Services office, 10280 North Torrey Pines Rd., Suite 230C
- When: 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. weekdays

- UC San Diego does not track, log or associate the Tile Tracker with any personal information.
- Transportation Services offers this device solely as an added benefit to assist with theft prevention and recovery.
Getting Started
- Download the Tile or Life360 app on your smartphone.
- Follow the app instructions to pair your Tile Tracker.
- Securely attach the Tile Tracker to a concealed location on your bike or scooter.
- Use the app to track and, if desired, share your device’s location.
