Payment Relief Plans
A Parking Citation Payment Relief Plan allows you to divide your parking penalty balance into manageable monthly payments and, when applicable, allows you to remove or prevent a DMV hold on your vehicle registration. Depending on your financial situation, you may apply for either a standard or a low-income plan. Review the details for each plan below, and email the Office of Citation Appeals Administration to request more information at citation@ucsd.edu
Standard Plan
- You must have a minimum of $300 in unpaid parking penalties.
- You must submit this application within 60 days of citation issuance or within 10 days of a second-level hearing determination
- No initial payment is required unless Transportation Services immobilized your vehicle, in which case, you must pay the $250 boot fee plus two citations to secure the vehicle release.
- You can receive up to six months to pay off all outstanding penalties with manageable monthly payments.
Low-Income Plan
- You must submit this application within 60 days of citation issuance or within 10 days of a second level hearing determination.
