Electric Vehicle Resources

New and Used Electric Vehicles

The Federal Energy Tax Credits for selected new and used electric vehicles expired on September 30, 2025.

Manufacturer and dealer incentives for electric vehicles continue to be offered but change frequently. If you are exploring purchase of a new vehicle, we invite you to use the New EVs and Incentives - Electric For All as a starting point and encourage you to supplement it with your own research.

We expect there to be a lot of opportunity in the used EV market over the next several years. The surge in EV leasing that began in 2022 means that there are now a large number of low-mileage late-model cars and trucks coming back into dealer inventory as owners upgrade. This wave is expected to keep prices low for some time. Most EVs carry an 8 to 10-year warranty on the battery, mitigating one of the major consumer concerns about used EV purchases, and EVs have less mechanical parts reducing other risk associated with used vehicle purchases. Still, with any used vehicle purchase, we recommend securing a comprehensive vehicle history report and battery health report on the specific vehicle you hope to purchase before entering an agreement. Current prices on a variety of used makes and models can be found on a number of websites such as Electric for All, Edmunds, Cars.com and Carsdirect.

We do not endorse any particular make, model, or dealer. A vehicle is a major purchase decision and we encourage our customers to read reviews, take test drives, verify eligibility for any promotions, assess used vehicle conditions, and weigh their options.
