Parking for Student Move Outs

Moving Monday, June 10 through Thursday, June 13

For the best vehicle access, we recommend that students move out during the week.

  • Look for the 30-minute loading signs near dorms or apartments for loading access.
  • Note: Vehicles parked in loading areas for longer than 30 minutes may be cited.
  • If you need to park longer than 30 minutes, use the convenient ParkMobile app.

Moving Friday, June 14 through Sunday, June 16

Due to heavy commencement-related traffic and temporary road closures, anyone who needs to load a vehicle to move out of a residential unit must display a college-specific move-out loading voucher on the dashboard.

  • To avoid commencement-related delays, we encourage students to move during the week, especially if multiple trips are necessary.
  • Access during commencement may be limited and will be granted only as safety allows.
  • Expect congestion and traffic delays.
  • In-and-out access to the area during commencement may be difficult and limited.

Eleanor Roosevelt College and International House

  • Scholars Drive North will be north bound only between Northpoint Driveway and Pangea Drive. No entry for move out will be allowed at Northpoint Driveway.
  • Enter campus at Pangea Drive and turn left on Scholars Drive North.
  • Look for signs on the west side of Scholars Drive North for loading areas.
  • To exit campus, travel north on Scholars Drive North to Northpoint Driveway, turn left.

John Muir College

  • Enter campus at La Jolla Shores Drive, turning left on Scholars Drive South.
  • Move-out areas will be marked on the east side of Scholars Drive South, south side of Scholars Lane and in the Scholars Parking Structure.

Pepper Canyon Apartments

P401 and P406 Access

  • Enter campus via Gilman Drive, turning left on Pepper Canyon Drive
  • Access to lots P401 and P406 will be controlled at the intersection of Gilman Drive and Pepper Canyon Drive.
  • To exit campus, follow Pepper Canyon Drive to Gilman Drive or to Campus Point Drive.

Matthews Apartments (Buildings A, B, D and E)

  • ACCESS TO INNOVATION LANE BY ACCESS PASS ONLY
    • Pass will be issued by Residential Life Office ONLY.
    • Pass is for a single entry to area.
  • Enter campus via Gilman Drive, turning left on Pepper Canyon Drive and left on Voigt Drive.  
  • Access to Innovation Lane will be controlled at the intersection of Gilman Drive and Pepper Canyon Drive, Pepper Canyon Drive and Voigt Drive and at Innovation Lane. Please have access pass visible and ready to hand to the screener at Innovation Lane.
  • To exit campus, follow Voigt Drive to Campus Point Drive.

Revelle College

  • Load and Go (P101) – This area is for students who are being picked up by parents or rideshare and have their belongings at the curb ready to be loaded.
    • Enter Revelle College Drive and continue east into lot P101 east of Scholars Drive.
    • Staff will direct you to a loading area.
  • Self-Loading Area – For students driving themselves
    • Enter Revelle College Drive.
    • Turn right (south) on Scholars Drive.
    • Drive to the end of the coned lane and follow directions into Theatre District Parking Structure.

Sixth College

  • Enter campus at Exploration Drive and proceed east to Scholars Parking Structure.
  • Loading vehicles use visitor spaces on top level of Scholars Parking Structure.

Seventh College

  • Scholars Drive North will be north bound only between Northpoint Driveway and Pangea Drive. No entry for move out will be allowed atNorthpoint Driveway.
  • Enter campus at Pangea Drive and turn left on Scholars Drive North.
  • Look for signs on the west side of Scholars Drive North for loading areas.
  • To exit campus, travel north on Scholars Drive North toNorthpoint Driveway, turn left.

  • Enter campus at Pangea Drive, proceed east on Thurgood Marshall Lane.
  • Access to lot P310 will be controlled at the Pangea Drive entrance to campus and at the intersection of Scholars Drive South and Pangea Drive.
  • Load your vehicle in lot P310.
  • To exit campus, travel south on Scholars Drive North to Muir College Lane (no exit from Pangea Drive).

Thurgood Marshall College, Residence Halls

  • Enter campus at Pangea Drive.
  • Access to both Pangea Structure and lot P304 may be controlled at the Pangea Drive entrance to campus.
  • Park in lot P304 or in the Pangea Parking Structure.
  • To exit campus, travel south on Scholars Drive North to Exploration Drive (no exit from Pangea Drive).

Warren College

Friday, June 14

  • Enter campus via Campus Point Drive, proceeding onto Voigt Drive.
  • Access to Warren will be controlled at the intersection of Campus Point Drive and parking lot P701, Pepper Canyon Drive and Voigt Drive and the entrance to Justice Lane.
  • Entry to Justice Lane and Equality Lane will be restricted to students moving out only.
  • To exit campus, follow Voigt Drive east to Campus Point Drive.

Saturday, June 15

BEFORE 4 p.m.

  • Enter campus via Northpoint Driveway, proceeding onto Hopkins Drive and turning left onto Voigt Drive.
  • Access to Warren will be controlled at the intersection of Hopkins Drive and Voigt Drive and at the entrance to Equality Lane or Justice Lane.
  • Entry to Equality Lane and Justice Lane will be restricted to students moving out only.
  • To exit campus, follow Voigt Drive west to Hopkins Drive and west on Northpoint Driveway.

AFTER 4 p.m.

  • Enter campus via Campus Point Drive, proceeding onto Voigt Drive.
  • Access to Warren will be controlled at the intersection of Campus Point Drive and parking lot P701, Pepper Canyon Drive and Voigt Drive and the entrance to Justice Lane.
  • Entry to Justice Lane and Equality Lane will be restricted to students moving out only.
  • To exit campus, follow Voigt Drive east and to Campus Point Drive.

Sunday, June 16

  • Enter campus via Campus Point Drive, proceeding onto Voigt Drive.

  • Entry to Justice Lane and Equality Lane will be restricted to students moving out only.
  • To exit campus, follow Voigt Drive east to Campus Point Drive.
