Buying a Parking Permit

Parking permits are sold online only.

Buy a Permit

To purchase a parking permit, you'll need:

  • Your vehicle information (make, model, and license plate number)
  • Campus ID (for most student, staff, and faculty permits)
  • Online purchase requires:
    • Single Sign-On access
    • A valid Visa, Mastercard, American Express card or student account
All permits are virtual and you do not need to display or print a receipt. For 10-day permits used in conjunction with the Parkmobile parking app, directions appear on the receipt.

Payroll Permits

  • Are prorated on the 1st and 16th each month
  • Allow the cost of your monthly parking permit to be deducted from your paycheck on a pretax basis
  • Continue until canceled by emailing TellTPS@ucsd.edu with the subject line “Cancel my Permit”

Consecutive Day Permits

  • Replace monthly, quarterly and annual options
  • Choose the exact dates you need a permit — 30 days to 365 days
  • Days are sold at a discounted daily rate that reflects the understanding that you will not be parking seven days a week unless you live on campus.
